Helping Brands See the Value of Checkmate
Checkmate helps shoppers save automatically by surfacing brand-specific codes at the right moment. In return, brands gain exposure to a wider audience and drive more sales. But many partners weren’t aware of the impact Checkmate was having, which led to churn and missed opportunities.
To solve this, we built a performance dashboard that clearly showed how Checkmate was driving new customers and revenue, while also giving brands actionable insights and recommendations.

Overview of the Dashboard
Designed a B2B dashboard to help brands understand the performance of their campaigns on Checkmate. The experience included multiple tabs, with overview pages for each product, making it easier to highlight value, surface actionable insights, and keep merchants engaged with the platform.
Creating Different States
Built flexible dashboard states to support different stages of brand onboarding and performance. Brands with incomplete setup saw prompts to take action, while underperforming campaigns received tailored recommendations such as setup fixes, product suggestions, and opportunities to increase revenue.
REusable components
Created a modular component system that made it easy to scale the dashboard and support varied brand needs. This included visualizations, recommendation modules, and upsell moments, all built for consistency and ease of development.
Results
After launch, brand engagement increased. Merchants began referencing the dashboard regularly, requesting weekly updates, and sharing feedback and ideas for future features. Churn decreased as brands better understood the value Checkmate was delivering.
