Bringing smart digital advances into the heart of the home

Thermador aimed to modernize their product line and encourage consumers to adopt smart kitchen technology. While the hardware was advancing, the digital experience needed to match that level of sophistication across appliances and platforms.

I designed interfaces for a suite of connected kitchen appliances, as well as the Home Connect app, creating a cohesive system that elevated the cooking experience and brought consistency across the ecosystem.

User interface strategy, wireframe concepts, user journeys, visual design, final assets, and design spec.

Home Connect App

Home Connect is the companion app for Thermador connected appliances.

We designed it to easily allow users to pair, monitor, and control appliances remotely, with features like status updates, quick actions, and access to manuals, tips, and recipes.

Built-In Oven and Microwave

It was essential that Thermador relaunch their microwaves to better meet the expectations of a luxury brand.

We incorporated a full color display, providing users with a technologically advanced, yet familiar, user experience. To ensure users felt confident using these new features, step-by-step tutorials guide users through the new functions.

Freedom Induction Cooktop

The Freedom Induction gives cooks the ability to utilize the entire cooking surface, rather than restricting pots to defined cooking zones.

To highlight the innovation within the product, I designed a full color display and LEDs along the sides of the cooktop. These technologies work in tandem, providing the user with beneficial visual feedback while cooking.
